The Parisian gallery Les Modernistes, is editing since October 2012, a book on the company Airborne, manufacturer and world wide distributor of contemporary furniture.
The book recalls the story of Airborne , through the different models and French designers who made its fame during the “30 glories”.
The 50s design in France is nowadays recognized as being extremely creative and productive. It’s the beginning of the “30 glories”, these years that leave some people nostalgic.
Airborne will contribute to this creative growth, thanks to its collaboration with the greatest designers at the time, like Guariche, Mourgue, or Fermigier, and also will offering to the public models as famous as the Djinn, the Joker or the Yoga. It has managed, in 25 years, to make history about design in France.
