Before the 50’s, just as Quinet and Arbus, with whom he used to work on several projects of paquebots (cruise liners) decoration and for private clients such as Josephine Baker. Raphaël found his influences in the scandinavian taste. In the late 50’s, he works with Jean Prouvé and Serge Mouille on important public projets such as ambassies, universities and even the french Assemblée Nationale.
