Viva el Perú brings together over 100 vibrant portraits by Mario Testino of people from Perus Andean region wearing traditional and festive dressat once celebrating these extraordinary garments and preserving the heritage they embody. In Peru on assignment for British Vogue, he discovered an archive of authentic Andean clothes; inspired by the Peruvian photographer Martin Chambi, he soon began photographing them, embarking on a personal project that would take him to archives across the country over the next ten years.
