In his fifty-year career, Jacques Grange has established himself as the decorator of the homes of great collectors, artists, designers and trendsetters. From his classical training at the Boulle School and at the Camondo School and his passion for contemporary art, a unique vision and an inimitable approach to French design were born, at the origin of its timeless style.
Through some thirty recent projects in Europe and America, the full extent of the designer’s inspirations and refined taste are manifested in places to which he has been able to add his unique touch.
This book navigates between a luxury mansion in Paris, mansions in London and New York, a chic seaside cabin in Comporta, Portugal, to a legendary 1950s house in Los Angeles. Pierre Passebon’s text offers an analysis of the foundations of Jacques Grange’s work, of his eclectic and refined conception in constant evolution. François Halard’s unpublished photographs capture these singular projects with deep sensitivity.
