A Smythson notebook featuring a quotation from Karl Lagerfeld: “Books should be an everyday affair”, a box of seven Faber-Castell pencils and a drawing pad printed by Steidl accompany the beautiful book Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, the catalogue for the exhibition devoted to the designer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (MET) in 2023.
Based on the codes of literary correspondence, the envelope-box can later become a collector’s item for use and decoration.
